Creating Halfsize TIFF Files
When the KIP, MetaPrint, or Océ software creates halfsize TIFF files what they are actually doing is instructing Ghostscript or our AcroPlot Repro to create a fullsize TIFF and then they are scaling the TIFF down 50%. This can result in undesirable results because their software has to determine which pixels to drop out to make the halfsize TIFF look correctly.
So we have included a helper program which you can run along with your KIP, MetaPrint, or Océ software that we will look for and if it is set to "Create the TIFF at halfsize (50% reduction) then even though your KIP, MetaPrint, or Océ software isn't telling us to we will create it at the 50% reduction. Just make sure in your KIP, MetaPrint, or Océ software to leave the scaling at 100% otherwise you will end up getting a 50% reduction of our 50% reduction.
